Getting started
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Cinema 4D 2024, 2025, 2026 or 2027, with Redshift installed.
- Windows, or a Mac with Apple Silicon. Intel Macs aren’t supported.
Install
Section titled “Install”The easiest way to install and license RS ID Manager is the aescripts + aeplugins manager. Install RS ID Manager from it, then restart Cinema 4D.
Open the panel
Section titled “Open the panel”Choose Extensions ▸ RS ID Manager. If you have other Chroma plugins, it is in the Chroma menu too — you can hide that menu in Preferences.

first, type trial for a 14-day trial. See Licensing & support.
The panel opens as a floating window. Drag it into your layout by its title bar to dock it, and save the layout to keep it there.

- In the OBJECT IDs pane, type an ID into Set selected to: and click Set.
- With more than one object selected, choose Same ID (one matte for all of them) or Unique IDs (counting up from your number, skipping IDs already in use).
Each object gets an RS Object tag with Object ID override switched on, if it didn’t have one, and appears in the list. See Object IDs.
Your first Material IDs
